The NBA regular season isn't over, and already the San Antonio Spurs have wildly exceeded expectations. It wasn't that long ago that so-called NBA analysts, including ESPN, were predicting the Spurs to win about 40 games.
They foolishly predicted the Spurs would win just 41 games this season, but San Antonio is on pace to win 60 for the first time in eight years. Not only that, but they could very well finish with the second-best record in the NBA this season.
That underscores a remarkable turnaround this team has undergone. Just two seasons ago they were 22-60 and on their way to drafting in the top five for a second straight year.
