Edinson Cavani signs one-year contract extension with Manchester United after turning down Boca Juniors for an extra season in Europe

Edinson Cavani has put pen to paper on a one-year extension with Manchester United, following talks with the club.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had been forthcoming in recent weeks regarding his desire to see the in-form veteran continue at Old Trafford, and now an agreement has been reached.

Cavani, 34, has signed until the summer of 2022 after turning down an enticing offer from Boca Juniors in order to spend one more season in elite European football.
