The Portland Trail Blazers are coming off of yet another disappointing week. Following a loss to the John Wall-less Wizards on Tuesday and a hard-fought defeat at the hands of the first place Rockets on Saturday, it should be no surprise to fans that the team continues to fall in national NBA Power Rankings. ESPN, Sports Illustrated and CBS Sports all were down on the Blazers, to varying degrees, pegging Portland as a middle-of-the-road team through the season’s ninth week.
Sports Illustrated was the most generous, placing the Blazers at 13, three spots lower than last week.
