The Portland Trail Blazers have been mentioned as a possible match for disgruntled Houston Rockets forward Carmelo Anthony. The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor said he’s “heard” the Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers as potential teams for Melo on the most recent “Ringer NBA Show” podcast:
I heard three teams that I think could be for Melo. And this could change, he’s still with Houston. I heard New Orleans, Portland and LA Lakers. Those are the three teams I heard.
As O’Connor mentions, Melo is still with Houston and not even a free agent yet, even if signs point to that happening sooner rather than later.
