The College Football AP Poll Top 25 has been released for week 6 of the CFB season. The Top 10 continued to roll, with the exception of #1 Clemson which avoided a major upset, stopping North Carolina on a 2-pt conversion with just over a minute left. However, there’s a new #1 as Alabama has taken the top spot. In the Big Ten East, #20 Michigan destroyed Rutgers 52-0 to get its offense back on track, which literally cost Rutgers’ coach Chris Ash his job. The Scarlet Knights are looking again for a new coach after only 3+ seasons with Ash. #5 Ohio State beat down Nebraska in Lincoln 48-7, #2 Alabama easily handled Ole Miss, #6 Oklahoma kept rolling with a 55-16 manhandling of Texas Tech, and #10 Notre Dame held off #18 Virginia. Of ranked teams that lost: #15 California lost to Arizona State, #21 USC lost at #17 Washington, and Oklahoma State beat #24 Kansas State. All 3 of those teams are out of the Top 25, with SMU, Wake Forest and Oklahoma State jumping into the Top 25.
