Rookie Report Card: Steelers Vs Bears

Related Topics: Derrick Harmon, Arthur Smith

Pittsburgh Steelers OC Arthur Smith said it would take about 40 carries to get rookie RB Kaleb Johnson more involved. They had a season high 36 against the Chicago Bears, yet Johnson didn’t play a single snap. Could it be that his facemask penalty last week put him back in the doghouse? Either way, only four of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ rookies played snaps against the Bears as a result.

It’s not ideal to be getting just 64 total offensive and defensive snaps out of the rookie class by Week 12 of the season, but this was a class without a second-round pick, and the third-round pick didn’t play.
