Many Steelers fans were pessimistic going into the recent game against the Buffalo Bills. Ticket prices plummeted as gameday approached. I decided to attend the game because the Steelers had a chance to reclaim first place in the AFC North division.
I support the team during the season and generally look for opportunities they have to make the playoffs. Over the years, I’ve made some good friends with fellow Steelers fans. And it’s always a pleasure to see familiar faces at games.
But my optimism for a Steelers victory over Buffalo blinded me to the reality that this is a very mediocre team.
