It’s no secret that the defense’s ability to turn the ball over has been a vital part of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ success in a season in which they had not had the services of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger since the first half of the second game of the year.
The Steelers remain second in the NFL with 28 takeaways, just one behind the New England Patriots for the most in the league, and they have recorded at least two takeaways in nine of their 11 games on the season. They did not record any in the other two games, both of which they lost.
