Mike Tomlin’s “Keep watching” response to a question about where his confidence comes from came back to him, it seems. After that glib post-game remark gained traction, he seemingly took it upon himself to address it on his own. And in doing so, he took another swing at answering the same question, with a cooler head.
“Oftentimes I get asked what gives you confidence. Sometimes I answer it in a colorful way”, Tomlin said, via the Steelers’ website, and again, it’s notable that he segued into that unprompted. It’s reasonable to assume that the headlines came back to him and he wanted to address it.
