Le'Veon Bell threatens to sit out or retire if he's franchise tagged again

Le’Veon Bell is serious about getting a long-term contract from the Steelers.

The running back told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler Thursday that he would consider sitting out the 2018 season or retiring from football entirely if the team attempts to use its franchise player designation on him again next season.

"I hope it doesn't come to that, but I would definitely consider it,” Bell said.

"Just get the numbers straight exactly where we want them. I'm not going to settle for anything," Bell said. "I know what I do and what I bring to the table.
