Fans chanting for Mike Tomlin’s dismissal as Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach aren’t likely to get their wish. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport splashed cold water on the hopes of the fanbase, saying Tomlin is poised to stay for 2026 and likely beyond.
“Even discussing firing Mike Tomlin is completely ridiculous…Based on my understanding of the situation, let me lay it out for you,” Rapoport said on NFL Gameday kickoff Monday. “Mike Tomlin is one of the best coaches in the NFL. If he ever became available, he’d be snatched up in literally a matter of no time if he wanted to.
