Several Pirates prospects ranked among the top 100 in the game, according to two prominent prospect rankings released Monday.
Baseball America ranked right-hander Mitch Keller and outfielder Austin Meadows among its top 100 prospects. ESPN writer and prospect analyst Keith Law ranked Meadows, right-hander Shane Baz and third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes in the second half (Nos. 51-100) of his list (Nos. 1-50 will be released Tuesday).
Baseball America considers Keller the No. 12 prospect in the game. The 21-year-old, whom the Pirates selected out of an Iowa high school in the second round of the 2014 draft, split the 2017 season between Class A Bradenton and Class AA Altoona.
