Pirates lose to Diamondbacks, 7-2, drop fourth consecutive game

The first rain delay Saturday didn’t force Joe Musgrove from the game. The second one did, though with the way the Arizona Diamondbacks were making contact against him, he might not have pitched much longer anyway.

The Diamondbacks had six extra-base hits during their 7-2 defeat of the Pirates at PNC Park, the Pirates’ fourth loss in a row and fifth in their past six games. They are now four games worse than .500 and nine games back of the first-place Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central.

Musgrove allowed five runs and seven hits in four innings.
