Kris Letang made it crystal clear Saturday that he understands what coach Mike Sullivan is asking of him.
The Penguins’ top defenseman also left zero doubt when it comes to where he’d like to be for the team’s first power play of 2017-18.
Essentially, despite another injury that led to a terrific, fill-in performance from Justin Schultz, Letang wants to be on the No. 1 unit, the same as he's been for the bulk of his career.
“I want to be the same player I was before,” Letang said when asked what it would mean to him again quarterback the Penguins’ top power play.
