Penguins winger Kunitz's play finally being rewarded with goals

Early last month, when it seemed just about every Penguin had caught fire offensively, there was one notable exception.

Winger Chris Kunitz didn’t score a goal in the team’s first 12 games of December. During their six-game winning streak at the beginning of the month, he registered just one lone assist.

In the midst of that stretch, Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said he wasn’t concerned about Kunitz’s play, and that goals would come eventually — after all, Kunitz has scored quite a few of them in his career.

Over the past few games, Kunitz has been proving his coach right.
