Penguins reassign eight players ahead of second preseason game

The Penguins made another round of roster cuts on Wednesday, returning seven players to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and another to his junior team.

Forwards Tom Kostopoulos, Ryan Haggerty, Reid Gardiner and Gage Quinney will head to the Penguins’ American Hockey League affiliate. They’ll be joined by defensemen Dylan Zink and Jeff Taylor and goaltender Sean Maguire.

Forward Jordy Bellerive, an 18-year-old signed to a three-year entry-level deal last week, will return to Lethbridge of the Western Hockey League.

The Penguins now have 47 players left in camp.
