Penguins players will resume skating in small groups at the Lemieux Complex on Tuesday, Jim Rutherford announced on Friday.
The news follows the NHL's announcement on Thursday that team facilities will be permitted to reopen for small, voluntary workouts on Monday.
All players and staff will be tested for coronavirus prior to participating, and those who test negative will undergo an additional medical evaluation. Players and personnel must complete a remote educational meeting prior to arriving at the rink.
Per the NHL's Phase 2 guidelines, fans and media will not be permitted in or outside the building for the workouts.
