Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is very much in favor of the NHL’s current crackdown on faceoff encroachment and, to a slightly lesser degree, its stricter stance on slashing.
“Guys who use their foot a little bit more [on faceoffs] probably aren’t going to like it,” Crosby said Saturday for practice at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. “I don’t tend to use my foot a lot, so that’s why I like it.”
The biggest part, Crosby said, will be having continuity across the board — sort of like baseball and continued arguments over its strike zone.
“As long as it’s consistent, we’re going to adjust,” Crosby said.
