COLUMBUS, Ohio — Olli Maatta picked up his second goal of the preseason late in the third period to give the Penguins a 4-3 victory over the Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Friday.
Maatta, who has looked downright terrific at times thus far in camp, buried a carom off the boards that occurred when Scott Wilson’s shot missed the net.
Zach Aston-Reese and Pierre-Luc Dubois traded goals within a 21-second span of the third period.
Aston-Reese’s shot from the outside of the circle kicked off a couple of bodies, while Dubois got his second of the game when he snuck a puck through Antti Niemi’s legs.
