Kelly Oubre Jr. and the Phoenix Suns still are gathering information on an injury that could impact the remainder of the season.
Oubre will miss his second straight game Friday night against Detroit with what’s reportedly a torn meniscus. Williams didn’t give specifics for how long Oubre will be out.
“He’s still getting information, we’re getting information,” Williams said Friday morning.
When asked what the diagnosis was, Williams said, “a knee injury” and didn’t elaborate beyond that.
The Suns (24-35) are 4½ games out of the eighth Western Conference playoff spot held by Memphis, which owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over them.
