MILWAUKEE – A second MRI on the injured right hip of forward Marquese Chriss showed improvement but there’s still no definitive timetable for Chriss’ return, interim coach Jay Triano said.
Chriss has missed four straight games since suffering a right hip strain against Oklahoma City on Jan. 7, and he won’t play against the Milwaukee Bucks Monday. Chriss recently said he wanted to get a second MRI to see if there was more damage to the hip than initially diagnosed.
“It’s getting better,” Triano said.
Dragan Bender will start for the fifth consecutive game in Chriss’ absence.
