Didn’t take long: Devin Booker named to the All-Star team anyway

For the second year in a row, Adam Silver witnessed the failures of the All-Star voting process and immediately took action to correct it by personally naming Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker to the All-Star team.

Booker will replace the Lakers’ Anthony Davis, who was named to the team by the Western Conference coaches but is out injured until well after the All-Star break with a strained achilles tendon.

Booker was left off the All-Star reserves list earlier this week by the West coaches who are tasked with filling out the rest of the 12-man roster after the starters are voted on by fans, media and players.
