Over the past 22 months, the Tucson Roadrunners have accomplished dozens of firsts. The first practice, game, win, loss, tragedy, transaction, coaching change, and on and on.
Thursday, the Roadrunners will play the first postseason game in franchise history. Tucson will take on the Barracuda in San Jose in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs. The best-of-five-game series begins at 7 p.m.
The Roadrunners are the top seed in their division after a historic regular season in which they also won the regular season Western Conference title. Now the attention turns to a San Jose team that has found success against Tucson, winning four of the seven regular-season matchups.
