NHL mock draft: Arizona Coyotes take Peyton Krebs at No. 14

The first round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft begins Friday and with the Coyotes picking at No. 14, there is seemingly an endless combination of scenarios that could affect which players will be available for Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka.

Based on conversations with league sources, scouts and decision-makers, to go along with hours spent watching video, here are my predictions for how the first 14 picks of the first round will shake out:

1. New Jersey Devils: Jack Hughes, C, Team USA (NTDP)

2018-19 stats: 34 goals and 112 points in 50 games

Finnish winger Kaapo Kakko should make this an interesting decision for Devils General Manager Ray Shero, but Hughes absolutely should be the pick here.
