Dylan Strome went to the Chicago Blackhawks and, by most accounts, lit the world on fire with 17 goals and 51 points. Nick Schmaltz, however, came to the Arizona Coyotes and managed just five goals and 14 points.
On the surface, it might look like Strome out-performed Schmaltz after the Nov. 25 trade that also sent winger Brendan Perlini to Chicago last season.
But there is some important information that most seem to be missing: Strome played in 58 games with his new team, while Schmaltz played just 17 games before a knee injury ended his season.
