Coyotes will be without goalie Antti Raanta for at least the next two games, maybe longer

The Coyotes will be without No. 1 goalie Antti Raanta on Friday night when their three-game homestand continues at Gila River Arena with their first look of the season against the Los Angeles Kings.

Raanta, who had made 90 saves during the Coyotes’ three-game winning streak, was hit in the head and neck area during Wednesday night’s 3-1 loss to San Jose when Sharks forward Logan Couture ran into him in the crease. The incident occurred during the first period and Raanta exited the game about four minutes later.

He was replaced by backup Scott Wedgewood, who will get the start against the Kings.
