The Arizona Coyotes are in Las Vegas for Monday night's game against the Vegas Golden Knights and are without their captain, defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
Ekman-Larsson was placed on injured reserve Sunday with a lower body injury sustained against the San Jose Sharks in Saturday's 5-3 Coyotes win. He had three assists, so Ekman-Larsson's all-around play will certainly be missed.
He'll miss the Wednesday game at Vegas as well as Friday's home game against the Golden Knights, and the earliest he can return is for Sunday afternoon's game against Vegas at Gila River Arena.
"You pencil him in every night for 20-plus (minutes).
