Arizona Coyotes snap losing skid with big win over Edmonton Oilers

The Coyotes snapped a season-long losing skid with a 3-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday at Gila River Arena.

Conor Garland and Lawson Crouse both scored in the second period to help secure the Coyotes' first win in six games. Goaltender Antti Raanta made 30 saves in the shutout.

More importantly, the Coyotes gained an important two points in the Pacific Division standings, in which they currently trail the Oilers by one point.

The Coyotes struck first at 4:50 of the second period when Taylor Hall delivered a spectacular pass to Garland, who needed only to tap the puck past Oilers goaltender Mikko Koskinen for his team-leading 18th goal of the season.
