Maikel Franco hits grand slam as Phillies lose to Pirates

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Maikel Franco was booed in the third inning and hit a grand slam in the seventh to complete a full day as the Phillies fell to the Pirates, 13-8, Saturday afternoon in a Grapefruit League game at Spectrum Field.

The crowd jeered after Franco - who opted to keep his sunglasses perched on the brim of his cap - lost a pop-up in the sun.

The error was the lowlight of a gaffe-filed third inning. The Pirates scored five runs in the third, which was started by pitcher Tyler Glasnow's reaching on an infield single after slapping a grounder to shortstop Freddy Galvis.
