CLEARWATER, Fla. — Bryce Harper got that similar feeling on Tuesday night as he rounded the bases at Miami’s loanDepot Park, tying the gold-medal game of the World Baseball Classic in the eighth inning against Venezuela with a home run to center field. He soaked in the moment, then celebrated into the on-field television camera at home plate.
It felt a lot like that go-ahead home run in the 2022 National League Championship Series that sent the Phillies to the World Series.
“I just tried to enjoy it, right?” Harper said. “I tried to enjoy the moment looking up into the stands.
