Flyers' Jake Voracek impressed with rookie Oskar Lindblom

If Monday was an indication, the Flyers will have Claude Giroux centering Jake Voracek and rookie hotshot Oskar Lindblom when they face the New York Islanders in a split-squad exhibition game Wednesday at Allentown’s PPL Center.

That line was together at camp Monday in Voorhees.

“If we’re going to play together, don’t expect us to score five goals in a period,” Voracek said. “But we want to be better every single time we go on the ice and get better as a unit and get better as a team.”

Lindblom, who turned 21 last month, had six shots — tied with Shayne Gostisbehere for most in the game — in Sunday’s 3-2 overtime loss to the host New York Islanders.
