It’s time to hit the market for Philadelphia Eagles veteran tight end, Trey Burton. According to NJ Advanced Media’s Matt Lombardo, the Eagles will most likely move on from Burton. Losing Burton will be some pretty upsetting news for most Eagles fans considering the season he had in 2017. Upsetting, but not surprising.
Burton finished out 2017 with career-high numbers. Sure, 248 yards and five touchdowns don’t exactly jump out at you. But when you consider the fact that Burton is a backup tight end, you realize that he is ready for the next step in his career.
