Roger Goodell isn’t going anywhere.
The current NFL commissioner officially signed a five-year contract extension to keep him in charge of the league through the 2024 season, according to Pro Football Talk. The deal is reportedly worth up to $200 million.
Many won’t be excited to hear that Goodell is staying around. He hasn’t exactly done a great job. (That’s putting it nicely.)
Then again, Goodell’s extension might be preferable to the alternative. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been pushing hard to block Goodell’s contract signing.
