Report: Ryan Fitzpatrick will be “out for a good while”

It wasn’t that long ago that Washington Football Team officially named veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick as their starting quarterback, but it only lasted two quarters when the 38-year-old took a big hit to the hip on Sunday against the Chargers. He’s now reportedly headed to the injured reserve list.

Fitzpatrick stayed on the ground after the hit and was out the rest of the game. MRIs done on Monday confirmed that the QB suffered a hip subluxation and, according to Chris Mortensen, could be out “for a good while”. Being placed on IR means Fitzpatrick will miss three weeks minimum, but it sounds like he’ll miss a lot more than that.
