Eagles starting right tackle Lane Johnson is still recovering from an ankle surgery he underwent last month, according to a report from ESPN’s Tim McManus. T-Mac notes the surgery was described as a “clean up.”
Johnson played through a high ankle sprain during the 2019 season until the injury sidelined him for Philadelphia’s final four games, including the team’s playoff loss.
Johnson was originally described as “day-to-day” on August 23, which was about a week into padded training camp practices. He didn’t return to action until September 9 and he’s only been listed as a limited participant on the official injury report.
