Perhaps the hardest thing to digest about winning the Super Bowl might be the subsequent purge that happens as a result. This happens often in the NFL. We won’t act like the Philadelphia Eagles or their fans didn’t see this coming when we all knew there were a few guys signed to one-year deals, running back LeGarrette Blount for instance, and others who were at the end of their current deals that were looking for extensions. Sure, that has a lot to do with what we’re seeing now with player turnover, but that’s not the entire story.
