Back in the day, both LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson were two of the key departures from the Philadelphia Eagles during the Chip Kelly era, which arguably turned out to be mistakes down the road.
While McCoy was sent to the Buffalo Bills prior to the 2015 season through a trade despite Pro Bowl honors in three of the previous four years, the Eagles released Jackson the previous year before eventually going on to join the Washington Redskins.
As teammates of the Eagles from 2009-13, there’s no question that both McCoy and Jackson were considered two of the most explosive players on offense in the league, making it difficult to understand why Kelly would move on from such key players.
