Mark Sanchez is back in the NFC East for a third time

The Sanchize is back in the NFC East.

The Washington Redskins signed former Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Mark Sanchez on Monday, according to a report from NFL insider Field Yates.

Washington was in need of a quarterback due to the season-ending leg injuries suffered by starter Alex Smith. Head coach Jay Gruden confirmed that Smith broke his tibia and his fibula during Washington’s loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Sanchez will be the backup to Colt McCoy, who is 7-18 in 25 career starts.
