Eagles Release DE Vinny Curry

The Eagles made yet another difficult decision on Friday releasing longtime defensive end Vinny Curry.

A lifelong Eagles fan, Curry was a second-round pick of the Eagles in 2012 out of Marshall. The Neptune, New Jersey native became a full-time starter for the first time in his career in 2017 as he helped bring the Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia.

He had a career-high 48 tackles and 41 combined quarterback pressures and hits to go along with three sacks and in 578 snaps this past year.

In his six seasons with the Eagles, Curry had 147 tackles, 85 combined quarterback pressures and hits, 27.
