As this game unfolded by the minute, Philadelphia Eagles fans sunk further and further down into the depressing reality that this team was going to lose. The Chicago Bears might have come in with the same record, but in the end, the Eagles have just as much (if not more) potential all over their roster.
And, as Philly's inevitable loss became more and more obvious throughout the game, fans were just looking the same-old reality in the face. They weren't the only ones to see it, though.
Late in the game as the Bears were again driving into the Eagles' red zone, color commentator Al Michaels finally said exactly what Philly fans had been thinking the entire afternoon:
"These teams have the same record and Philadelphia is like 'what the hell is going on out there?
