The Kawhi Leonard saga continues to drag out in San Antonio, with the Spurs keeping their disgruntled star through draft night. Gregg Popovich met with Leonard recently, but there’s no indication that the former Finals MVP has interest in staying.
Assuming a trade is inevitable, the Philadelphia 76ers will almost certainly be in the running. The Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and the Cleveland Cavaliers are the other teams expected to put together offers.
Leonard prefers the Lakers, but a recent report indicates that the Spurs are unwilling to trade him to another Western Conference team.
