Ben Simmons says he is keeping himself grounded and not listening to the hype after his NBA regular season debut for the Philadelphia 76ers.
"I just play the game and want to win, so I try not to let people get into my head or say certain things or believe the hype because there is a lot of work to be put in," Simmons told reporters on a global conference call on Thursday.
Simmons, 21, made an impressive NBA regular season debut on Wednesday when he scored 18 points and 10 rebounds in the 76ers' 120-115 loss to the Washington Wizards.
