Trace McSorley Named AP Second-Team All-American

It almost seems to be a daily exercise for Trace McSorley to receive some type of preseason accolade. Today is no different, with McSorley being named as a second-team All-American by the Associated Press. West Virginia’s Will Grier was named as first-team quarterback.

McSorley appears on watch lists for five national awards heading into 2018 as a candidate for the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Davey O’Brien, Wuerffel and Manning Awards. He is also a top candidate for the Heisman Trophy, according to oddsmakers.

In two seasons as a starter, McSorley has already re-written the Penn State record books.
