Coming into Sunday Penn State softball was on its roughest skid of the season, having dropped six consecutive games.

Sunday's game proved only to be an extension of the difficulties, as Penn State dropped its third matchup in the series against Indiana by a score of 8-0.

Indiana led the scoring off with a first-inning single back up the middle to score two baserunners. Later in the inning, the Hoosiers tacked on another run with another single to center field to make it a quick 3-0 ball game.

Pitcher Madison Shaffer was able to bounce back in the very next inning by retiring the side in order, however, Indiana once again applied pressure in the third inning.
