Twellman was skeptical when the league first announced the tournament. Now, as the league prepares for a regular season restart at teams’ home stadiums, Twellman said he’s been impressed by MLS’ versatility.
“Very few people thought they would get an entire tournament,” Twellman said. “It’s hard to put into words how big of a success it is, especially the fact that they pulled this off without really any blips. The bumps in the road came from outside the bubble.
