Magic can’t hang with 76ers, who clinch top seed in East with 122-97 victory

The 76ers bounced back from Thursday’s disappointing loss to the Miami Heat and rolled past the Magic for a 122-97 victory Friday night at Wells Fargo Center.

Philadelphia (48-23) has a 1.5-game lead over Brooklyn. The Nets have two games remaining, but the 76ers own the head-to-head tiebreaker between the two.

The Magic, meanwhile, dropped their sixth straight game as they fell to 0-3 this week against teams fighting for playoff position.

Ignas Brazdeikis scored a career-high 21 points while R.J. Hampton posted 12 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists for Orlando (21-50).

Mo Bamba returned to the Magic lineup after missing the past two games with a non-COVID illness.
