Jones thumps Edgewater in matchup of top-ranked teams

The Tigers (5-0), ranked No. 1 in the Sentinel Super 16, came away with five turnovers – including three in the third quarter – during a 31-13 win at home against No. 2 Edgewater (2-2).

Jonathan Aleem Jr. intercepted a pass on the first play of the second half to set up a Jones field goal. A muffed punt by the Eagles led to a short touchdown run by Stephen Sparrow and a 24-7 advantage with just under six minutes remaining in the third quarter.

A’Ceon Cobb caught an 80-yard TD pass and Delmontre Pryor returned an interception 85 yards for a score in the 1st quarter to help the Tigers jump out to an early 14-0 lead.
