It's official, the Oregon Ducks have virtually cemented their place in the College Football Playoffs after defeating their rivals, the Washington Huskies, to finish the year with an 11-1 overall record and an 8-1 record against Big Ten opponents.
While the Ducks wouldn't make a back-to-back appearance in the Big Ten Championship game, head coach Dan Lanning was more than proud of his team and what it had accomplished.
After Oregon earned the 26-14 win over Washington, Lanning made sure to explain exactly how he made sure his players had the right mindset going into the rivalry matchup.
