Quarterback Brock Purdy stood on the stage as confetti continued to rain down after Iowa State’s Fiesta Bowl win over Oregon.
That’s when he announced to the Iowa State faithful, his teammates and the rest of the country that he would return to Iowa State for the 2021 football season.
“When you talk about Brock Purdy, I think you talk about where our program has come and the growth we've been able to make, it's literally been on the coattails of Brock Purdy,” ISU coach Matt Campbell said.
The Cyclones had just finished a 9-3 season, which include an appearance in the Big 12 Championship game.
