Shane Illingworth stepped on the field and the crowd erupted in joy after Oklahoma State suffered through two and a half quarters of rough play. Illingworth took the snap, looked to his right and uncorked a beautiful 29-yard deep ball to Tylan Wallace.
After starting QB Spencer Sanders suffered a high-ankle sprain and Ethan Bullock was benched, Illingworth stepped in and led OSU to an impressive drive, capped off by a Chuba Hubbard touchdown, which put the Cowboys up 10-7 on Tulsa with 14:56 left in the fourth quarter.
From there, the momentum almost glued to OSU.
